Spammers!!!

We have had a huge influx of spammers lately and that has seriously messed with approval of new member requests. If you sent a request to be a member here and have not heard back in a day or two, please send me an email and I'll approve it myself.

18 Watt Hacked (AGAIN)

Hi 18 Watt members ---

If you ever wondered what was wrong with the 18watt site over the weekend - it was because it was HACKED -- That is a computer term meaning that somebody OTHER than the administrators got in the web site's guts and posted their "imprints" modifying or in their terms "de-facing" the page. A common way of spending your time if you are bored.

Thus we had to re-vert to the last known working version (Friday, 27th January 2006). So any posts or new users that applied after that point are lost.
I appologise for any confusion this might have caused.

Thanks,

Gabi.
