Official - Dagnall Transformers liquidated

Post by stevesuk »

As I hinted at a while ago, Dagnall Transformers have gone into liquidation.
As one of Marshall's main suppliers it will be interesting to see who they go to now.
Part of the letter I received was the confirmation that Dagnall manufactured in Malta and not in the UK.
As you may be aware, the owners of Dagnall Electronics and Clairtronic have placed both companies, together with the Maltese manufacturing plant MGC, in liquidation. All the staff in the UK and Malta have been made redundant.

Another company has bought the 'assets' of the audio side of the company.
Whether Marshall use them or not is another question, they are also based in Malta.

That leaves the question also now that another company has bought the assets... are they going to just hold onto those assets as IP, or are they actually going to put them to use? Only time will tell... unless someone has heard one way or the other already.
