Wow. You're making the USPS look amazing right now. I guess we should have used another carrier.
I'm guessing whomever paid for it will probably want to get their money back when they figure out it's not very useful to them...or watch, in a week a mysterious new member on this site will start posting photos of their build with the PCBs.

Maybe you shouldn't have labeled the package "Killer PCBs."

You could have told me that a week ago.

Ok...apparently the package is once again on its way in delivery mode. Fingers crossed!!!
BTW, I made a new frontplate with the exact line up according to the latest PCB version. Less room for error...
Edit: it's arrived!!!!

Nice! Looks like it fits in there pretty well too. What do you think about the quality of the PCB? You could probably knock somebody out with it.
Good call redacting the addresses on that box.

The quality is sublime!!! There is enough raw material in there to make 5 of these in china
Thx for the supplement too... yet another project then
Ow... sorry about the addresses.. privacy not respected

The board was made in China!
(each board was made from a different company in China). They can make great boards, if you don't choose the cheapest options. The two companies I use for PCBs are both in China, and do better work than a lot of what I've seen from EU or USA...also probably because people are choosing the cheap options.
That extra board is for switching the reverb and tremolo. Not that you'll likely ever turn them off.
No worries, I know you were excited. Hahaha

you might notice the strange bridge. It's in anticipation towards possible zenerdiode implementation..

Hey Josh... do you solder the components at the topside too? It doesn't appear so on the photos you posted in your tremolo TMB thread..

Btw.. the board is heavenly to work on!!

Nah, the vias are all plated through, so it doesn't matter. I only solder on the top if I'm connecting something on the top after I already installed the board in the chassis. It's okay to let some solder seep into the hole, but you don't want a big bubble on the other side.
If you use any turrets, anvil press them in like normal, and also solder only the bottom.
Glad you like!
Thanks,
Josh

Josh.. I'm missing a 2uf cap for the cathode of V2B. I do have a 2.2uf 63V electrolytic cap. Should do the job, no?

I use a 3.3ยตF there, I think you'll be fine.

Why 3.3uf? Halfway cold clipper kinda thingy?
Question about the non using the fx loop..for now..it looks like there are parallel solder terminals to the 68k terminals. I guess I have to put a jumper wire in there.. correct?

For more bottom end.
Yes, jumper if not using the 68K, or connect the wire further back if not using turrets. Solder the jumper on the top of the board in case you change your mind.

Here is some progress.. did some more power amp wiring. And I put a ground buss at the pots. It makes it easier on wiring the shields of shielded wires. I always find it hard to add the shielded wires at the pots... mostly because I already soldered the grounds and have to add the shields afterwards..

It might be fine, but technically the shields should not be sharing the preamp grounds. Shields are supposed to have their own connection to ground.
Personally, I shield the other end on the terminal strip using the ground lug.
If you find the preamp to be noisy, reverse the gain wire shielding end.

Thx for the tip!
In that case I need do put the shield of the input wire at the tube socket... but will leave it as is for now. If there's noise I will redo it ..
