Help with specifications for TMB Superlite 36 watt transformers
Hi group, I wanted to ask you two questions, and thank you for your kindness. I want to build the 36-watt EL34 Superlite TMB I downloaded from here.
1- I'm going to have the transformers manufactured. I wanted to ask about the specifications. Regarding the PT, how much amperage should I deliver on the 290+290 secondary and the 3.18+3.18 secondary so that it works well and has a little bit of excess without overheating? And what specifications should I ask for the OUTPUT transformer?
2- I'm thinking of doing diode rectification, and the schematic shows a valve. Would this modification raise the voltages? If so, should I use a SAG-type resistor or some means to lower the voltage? Or should I build a PT with a lower voltage than 290+290 so I don't exceed the volts required in the schematic?
Thank you very much in advance and I hope that it is understood enough, and that the translator does not play a trick on me. Regards.

Re: Help with specifications for TMB Superlite 36 watt transformers
Compare Heyboer and Mercury Magnetics transformer specs as a guide.
Honestly, I dunno why I put a tube rectifier in those docs. I probably had one I wanted to use that was taking up space in my tube box.
The Superlite TMB is usually diode rectified anyway. Yes, B+ voltages will be higher. Look at the thread in my signature for voltage dropping.
I usually do diode rectification in all my amps now unless somebody requests tube rec.
Thanks,
Josh
