A GE is usually etched with the tube number. The print style is like a stencil, with the characters broken where the lines change direction. There are usually some dots etched in a mysterious pattern.

Yep, and an RCA will have the code in a little stretched out octagon box. It's probably either RCA or GE.

If there are no "etched" marks, I would guess it is a relabelled Raytheon. Has it got a RETMA code?

EIA/RETMA?RMA codes - http://wy9.co.uk/

I might also guess that the "brand" is Western Union, from the days when Western Union was in telecomms. What did go into a Telex machine?
