1964 Fender Pro Amp 6L6GC's

Hi all,
Just wondering if it's worthwhile to get a nice pair of used 1960's RCA 6L6GC tubes to put in my 64 Pro.
I've had TAD 6L6's in it for a number of years. I was thinking it might be cool to try out a pair of RCA's, which would have come stock with this amp.
Any thoughts?

A pair of RCA blackplate 6L6GC will cost you $240 from vacuumtubes.net .
They will probably sound nicer than the TAD tubes, but not $240 nicer.

Were I looking for new tubes, I would pick Sovtek 6L6WXT+ which sound very similar to RCA until the price is mentioned.
