Guys,

We have raised over $8000 so far for Sheri, Marissa and Jessica Durham.

The eighth winner of the giveaway wins an 18W classic that was built by Mark Huss from parts donated by a number of 18W members.

Congratulations to

Eugene Drees

for winning the Classic 18W, built by Mark Huss!

Our next drawing will be next Monday and this will be the grand prize which is a Vajra amplifier which was designed by Mark Durham. This is the amp model that you can hear on the latest "Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians" CD. Please dig up some new years cheer and click that paypal link above and donate your dollars to the cause. Every $10 donated gives you a better chance of winning a prize. Sheri and the girls are very appreciative of what we are doing and they certainly need it.

Once again, congratulations to Eugene Drees for winning the Classic 18W!

congrats

Way to go eugene! Sure beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Or even a dull one. Don't ask how I know that.

If Mr. Huss built it, it's an awesome amp.

Since I have to build mine and I'm probably going to hose it big time, do I have to post anything? Like 4 minutes, 37 seconds of silence, or heater hum.

Now now, give yourself a break Morcey! There will be plenty of helpful hands here for you to tap into. Getting your JTM45 kit built will be very rewarding -when- you finish it!

Wow! I certainly did not anticipate winning anything. That was the furthest thing from my mind in donating. I only hope the donations have been able to help the family.

I recently purchased a couple of Hellatone 12" speakers. Their debut will be with this amp.

My email is gd841@yahooDOTcom.

I'm speechless. Thanks.

You'll be pinching yourself all day Gene!

Hey, I used to live in Ephrata. Ever been there? It was when I was a kid back in the late 60's. As I recall it had 3 stop lights. To it's credit, it was where I lived when I got my 1st guitar...

LarryLarry,

I've been quite a few places in eastern and central Washington. Yes, I've been in Ephrata, although only for short visits as I live in Spokane now.

My own guitar "career" started in Seminole, Florida back in the mid to late 60's.

Thanks to all.

Sadly, I just learned that I have to work Friday morning. That means I may or may not be home when the delivery arrives, per Mark H. Dang!!! I may have to wait until Monday to hear this amp.

But I am looking into recording equipment for my computer to give you all a taste of what it sounds like.

Well I am excited now. The footswitch arrived in the mail today! The amp should not be far behind.

I do need advice on getting a recording of any sort of this amp to y'all. Inexpensive, of course, or else I'll inundate you with lousy clips.

Thanks.
