3 x 12ax7 (ecc83) & 2 x EL34 Current?

Do any of you guys know how much current would be taken by 3x 12ax7 and 2 el34s? Im about to order some trannys from amp components, james says the 160ma tranny will be ok but im just a bit dubious as dont want it going into meltdown

I have used a hammond 270DX (90ma) and a 270FX (150ma) for 3x12ax7 and 2xel84 amplifiers without any issues.

i measured mine and it was about 126mA at full volume

Everyone else has spec'd el84s. If you really mean el34's, then you'd like to see a spec like 225mA or greater. From Hammond, a lower number might suffice.

oh my bad, my previous post was for el84s NOT EL34s!
