Mercury Magnetics Group Buy

Post by s2 »

Anyone interested in pitching in to buy 25 MM transformers at cost?

If I can round up 12 orders, I'll cover the rest.

Any takers? C'mon! I **KNOW** you guys are itchin' to build something with MM iron!

Email me the model you want (stvnscott AT s2amps DOT com) and the price. Look at the 25+ column for pricing.

How do theirs spec? Have you tried 'em? Price is right . . .

[this came off less vague when the concept was just a group buy of Tweed Princeton OT's.]

This is a $20 savings over going it alone.

In.

Not wanting to complicate matters... but if you were looking at the Tweed OT... I'd pay extra for the multi-tap outs. If anyone needs more justification for the extra $12... it's a 44% discount vs. a 40% discount for the plain jane OT. (NOTE: Disregard this rambling if you're not looking at the Tweed iron.)

Very cool of you to do this BTW! I know it's a little self-serving, but cool nonetheless.

'Tis a little self-serving, but it does help everyone who participates :)

Anywho... I does not necessarily have to be all the same tranny. If someone wants to specify the particular OT they would like to have and pay for it at 25 unit pricing, it is totally OK. Just let me know which one you want and I'll add that model to the list. Personally, I recommend the fat stack.

Fat stack does sound cool. Any tranny? 5F4 is on the list. And a M&M for another 18 or a 45? Oh! the mind wanders

I'd like the axiom "fat stack" (FBPO-15S). And if possible a 59 tweed deluxe w/ 4,8,16 ohm (FTDO-M) as well.

Mercury Group Buy

Post by gregarious »

Steven -

I'm in for a FTPO-5.

In true co-op style, it would be great if there was an 18watt "Mercury Good Guy" (25+ units) facilitator for periodic group buy offers.

You've got Hotmail...

Any point in looking at chokes or PTs, as well?

Sure. PTs are groovy. Chokes don't count toward the 25, but should be priced at the 25+ point if we hit 25 trannies total.

Depending on the timing of the buy I might be in for the VXO-10C ($70) and VXP-10 or VXP-10C ($70).

Anyone know what the difference is between the VXP-10 and VXP-10C? They're two options for AC10 PT's, but there's no difference I see besides the C.

Any idea when this would go down ? If it's around the 20th, I'd be interested in a MMAJ-OA

Got some overtime due me on that day......

I think it will go down when I hit at least 12 trannies (may already be there--will have to count). So it should go down in the next couple of days.

Guys, why don't we do it this way... If you can do PayPal, send a payment to sales AT s2amps DOT com for the amount of your transformer(s) plus $8.10 shipping (USPS Priority flate rate box). If you are ordering more than one large tranny, you will need to add shipping for each one, but 3 or 4 small ones will fit in one box. Be sure to type the model number(s) you want in the special instructions area before sending the payment.

We'll close this up in the next couple of days by posting notices in this thread to let anyone who wants to dive in at the last minute make their move. I'll place the order This weekend and should have them within 2 weeks, so you should have yours in 3 weeks or so. Sound good?

Again, you only need to pay the price on MM's web site in the 25+ column plus the $8.10 shipping. PTs, OTs, and chokes are all A-OK.
