Hi guys,
I just found you a cuple days ago and am new at this diy amp thing. I was into electronix years ago and can read a skemmy and wield a prety good soldering iron. I also have sheet metal skills and wood working talent ,too. I just don't know a dern thang 'bout gittar amps, haha.I'm planning to build an 18 watter for the slide steel I'm building (also) and got the Idea to build the amp, too. Any help you can give me is appreciated. I'm also - how do you put it - Oh yes-- Financially challenged. So, any way you can point me to some "less expensive" components would also be appreciated.

Keep your eyes open for old organs, radios, and PA amplifiers. These can be picked up quite cheaply (or even free if you're lucky), and can then be scavenged for the more expensive parts.

Good luck, and have fun.
