Anyone try converting a Valve Junior into a Herzog?

Post by seancostello »

Hi all:

Has anyone here tried converting a Valve Junior into a Herzog-type circuit? It seems like you could add a 6 ohm 10 W resistor, an output volume pot, and some way of switching between the Herzog output and the speaker output, and you would have yourself a dedicated box for playing "American Woman." And "No Time." And...uh..."American Woman."

Here's how. For a 5W VJr, you would use a 10W load resistor. Also if your speaker is on the 4 ohm jack, you would need a load resistor value closer to that.
