Blackstar HT 20

Post by Weldaar »

Asking for a friend. has the HT 20, two months old. Turned it on, no sound. All the lights work even changes channels.Speaker is hooked up, even tried an extension cabinet with no luck. I know the larger Blackstar has two fuses. One for the power and one for the speaker. Could this be similar? Unfortunately I do not have the amp here to check out.

hello,
the first simple check i would do is test the output transformer secondary winding. with the amp unplugged from mains disconnect the leads to the speaker and connect a multimeter to both leads and set for ohms and you should get a reading of resistance if it's good.
