Lil' Hare Pi

Post by crgfrench »

You know who's awesome? Spin that's who. He makes these fantastic PCBs and I just finished a sweet little analog pedal using his Muff Pi dev board. It's just great in front of my Denim Deluxe 18 watter, very retro indeed! Here is my build doc with all details you will need to make your very own, and a couple of pics. I'll follow up soon with a video demo.

All of the details are in the PDF:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AWzmZ7 ... p=drivesdk

It's not a kit, i designed the pedal from scratch, using Spin's PCB to build the circuit on. The BOM with sources is on page 13 of the PDF.

There's also a wiring diagram, schematic and a drilling template in the PDF.

I hope you give it a go -- it was a lot of fun to build and pretty simple.

Spin also offers a PCB based on the ProCo Rat distortion pedal. You can get his PCBs at https://fxtransposednet.bigcartel.com/

Second Lil Hare Pi circuit build, this one on the General Guitar Gadgets PCB which is about half the size of the fx.transposed board. Quite a resistor orgy going on (I'm using 1W milspec Dales on a board designed for 1/4W resistors).

Yes, Papilio inkjet waterslide. Amateur I know but it was the easiest way to get started.

I do it too. With a good finish, it looks great. Silk screening is too expensive. Mammoth was reasonable, but they're gone, at least for now.

I've seen some amazing looking DIY etched enclosures, I'd like to give that a try sometime too.

That's funny, I'm about to do that. It won't be amazing though.

I'm making an air brake clone I'm calling the "Break Wind" - and I'm just going to engrave it with my dremel.

If it were me, I would look into brass housing and etching with nitric acid
