Loverocker /Amp Maker Coming Back

Post by zaphod_phil »

I guess this is something worth announcing. Many members of 18watt.com will know "loverocker" from his posts here, and his enthusiastic, helpful attitude. His Amp Maker business has been a great resource for builders in the UK and Europe. As many folks will know Barry had to close shop due to illness, and little more was heard from him again - until now.

A message has appeared on the Amp Maker's home page.
UPDATE (25/10/07): Amp Maker will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS again in November. To start off, I will be shipping major components (transformers, chassis, etc) that are harder to find elsewhere. Then I will gradually add other components, hardware and amp kits. Finally, I'd like to thank all those who sent messages of support in the time that I've been unwell. I've been overwhelmed by the positive vibes from forum friends and customers. Much appreciated! :)
And on the Contacts page.
At the moment (25/10/07), I am just restarting the business after being closed due to illness. I will start to take order in November.
I know many will be overjoyed to hear that Barry's back in action! :D

Glad to hear you're/he's feeling better! I know I'm a "newbie" here, but I think it's great when people out in "hard to reach" places of the world can get parts for projects. I lived 2 years in Finland, and sometimes I was bugged by just how hard it was to get parts that I knew for a fact I could get if I were in the states! Awesome stuff!

Great news, I bought both the 5w and the 18w amp kits of Barry and was very pleased with them and the brilliant service. Good to hear that he's well again :)

Thanks to one and all for their kind words - here and by email. I'm really looking forward to clearing the backlog and then getting back into regular forum banter :)

A quick browse shows that a lot of people have been doing weird and wonderful things to the old 18Wer - and this forum. And same goes for AX84, too. Guess I've got a lot of reading and catching up to do... 8O

Welcome back to Barry, ive been checking his site for ages now waiting for good news. I am the proud owner of both the 5watt and 18watt kits from him and they are the biz.
Just think for a while there was no 18Watt and no Ampmaker on the net.
Now both are back.
Nice.
