Minneapolis/St. Paul Amp Clinic...tubes, bias, and more.
Saturday Sept 27. 7PM. American Guitar and Band, Maple Grove
We'll be going over the basics of tube functionality, what bias is and how to bias your own amp without killing yourself, and other tube-amp related subjects as time allows. Tim O'Brian and myself will be there discussing and answering questions etc. There will be a bias demonstration, looking at both fixed and cathode biased amplifier techniques. We're open to any and all suggestions as far as content goes. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Tim unfortunately cannot make it. Harry Stroub, Casey Gooby (Minneapolis based amp-tech formerly of Savage Audio) and myself will be presenting and answering questions.
I realize that the discussion topic revolves around more elementary concepts, but anyone new to amp building or wanting to work on their own amp is encouraged to attend. Cost is free by the way...
