Introducing myself

Post by PhilippeCamus »

Hi all,

I'm a French engineer working in the studio maintenance since 40 years. I had to repair, from time to time, guitar amplifier. But not much. My speciality was tape recoder, echo tape, mixing table et so on. I'm the proud owner of a Marshall 2959, some Vox and other tube related stuff.
I discover the 18 watt Marshall yesterday. A friend brought one. It's a kit. Actually I don't know which kit it is. With the help of your forum I will improve my knowledge. Thanks for your welcome.

If it's 18Watt amp alike, you've come to the right place. People here know those amps to a much higher level than elsewhere...
If the build hasn't begun yet make sure you use the schematics and layouts from the download section on this site. Those are bullit proof. Stay away from mojo documentation!!!
If it's a kit you are going to build.. who/what is the supplier?

Thank you. It's an amplifier a friend bought with a lot of problems. I think this is a Tube Town kit. I solve all the problems, but one persist. A have a "ploc" when I switch the tremolo. A big "ploc". I will open a topic at the good place.
