18 Watt Based power section with Tremolo and Reverb
Hello everyone, I love this forum and I have been lurking for years.
I have an idea for a fairly basic amp, based on the 18 Watt EL-84 power section.
Single Channel
Controls:
Gain
Tone
Reverb
Master
Tremolo Speed
Tremolo Depth
High/Low Power Switch
The idea came from seeing Richie Kotzen live the other night. He was using a new Signature model Victory Amps RK50C. That is a single channel 50 watts running EL-34s, Trmolo and reverb, and a single tone control.
It seems like it SHOULD be fairly simple.... basically run the Tremolo side of a 18 watt circuit and add a reverb... right?
Inputs and ideas are welcome.

I have a vague idea that there is already a thread for trem + reverb somewhere on the forum.

Something like this, but I haven't added component values yet.
I've never built a Tremolo amp, so this is new, but I like running the Parallel 12AX7 on the front of all my builds for that extra UMPH! it gives the sound.
Thoughts?

That's got two extra gain stages in the preamp compared to the regular 18 watt tremolo channel.
Do you want the preamp that hot?
