have a look at this mesa amp,the reverb is squeezed into the chassis with no tank/shielding as such and very close to the board.how do they manage this when you see so many problems related to wiring/placement etc?

Well, it's located pretty far from the transformers and speaker. On the other hand, some of these amps appear to have the tank mounted under the chassis (I Googled the pics). Maybe Mesa did have problems with the tank inside the chassis like that.

I've had a Blue Angel sitting on my side bench taunting me for over a year. I'm really starting to hate it and its **** transistor "mojo box"...
