Definitely use CT. Heyboer, Trinity, and GDS transformers are all made by Heyboer. There are probably some slight differences in specs, but one of the main differences is the leads. I prefer the GDS version. One reason is because the PT has terminals instead of leads. You can see them at gdsamps.com.
Thanks,
Josh

Re: Tmb build
No problem. A word of warning: carbon comp resistors are less reliable and more prone to noise than carbon film resistors. The only place the carbon comps might benefit the sound of the amp is R18 and R19 on the original schematics (two 100K resistors).Jaykling wrote:Got my turret board, resistors and caps.thanks for the info josh

Re: Tmb build
Love the TMB channel. I just tweaked the normal a little. It was a bit bassy/muddy. I only got to try it through a 1x12 with a Mod 70 Jensen ,and an SG copy ,and it still sounded good. I want to play it through one of my 2x12s with a LP when I get time. Had to finish repairing my friends JCM2000 DSL100.Jaykling wrote:How do u like it?gtrplayr1976 wrote:That's the same layout I just converted my 18watt trem. to.
