output transformer wiring question.
hey fellas. I have an output transformer which has wires for 4 8 and 16 ohms but I only want a jack for 8 ohms.
so I wondering if I have to connect the two remaining wires for the 4 and 16 or just clip them and tape them off?
thanks for any help offered ....Joe

Re: output transformer wiring question.
I usually just cap them with heat shrink tubing, coiling up the leads. You never know, you may find a use for these leads / impedances at some future point.
But, yes there is no need to wire them up if you don't intend to use them.
