You're welcome. My name is Josh, but you weren't that far off.
Download the docs again, I updated them today.
After you build it, post your voltages and results here so we can see how it goes, and update the docs if needed.
Thanks,
Josh

cool Josh!
thank's for taking the time to draw out the schematic and layout, just need you to do the same with the reverb you use on your superlite!

Will probably take a few weeks before I can start . First have to build my combo Shell and I promissed my wife to do some stuff around the house, since I have been a hermit the past few weeks...totally in the spell of my 18W build

Josh...
Is this correct? The 2uf cap from V2 pin 8 to ground? Isn't that .22uf?

2uF is correct. The layout and schematic are double verified between me and Zaphod_Phil.

Yeah, F*nder amps need reverb to give some life to their otherwise dull tone. Not the case with these chimey 18 watters

I am in the same line when it comes to BF or SF fenders, but tweed , blonde and brown can kick some b*tt!! I heard a cranked 50's tweed super 2x10 once and man I was impressed!zaphod_phil wrote: βWed 02/19/20 2:29 pmYeah, F*nder amps need reverb to give some life to their otherwise dull tone. I have a vibro king and a CVR, zinky's designs...I will never part from those 2.
Except, I converted the VK from opto to bias vary trem for the sake of needing REAL trem.
Building the Shell for the 18W right now... very anxious to finally hear it with the G12H INSIDE ..with the VK's 3x10 it sounds already amazing

Re: 18W TMB tremolo JOHN!!!
Any good tips on making my logo in 3D?
I would like this in gold, 2mm thick and approx. 80mm wide , placed at the righthand low corner of the frontboard, above the grillcloth. Or should I put it in the center?
Was thinking 3D printed or cut out of metal.

Re: 18W TMB tremolo JOHN!!!
Thx . This is my 5th so, I kinda know the drill a little. The CVR in the back is one of my earlier builds.. it's a 3x10 now. In yearning for a VK
The tolex is no problem, but the piping will be my first time. The channel was handcut with an exacto knife... all the way thank God I didn't go for the mahogany option

3D print it. Any other option would be insanely overpriced. I'm looking for a new vendor to make my amp logos. I could buy a 3D printer myself and do a million of them for what some companies want to charge.Bieworm wrote: βWed 02/19/20 2:58 pmAny good tips on making my logo in 3D?

Re: 18W TMB tremolo JOHN!!!
Low value cathode caps make the amps more prone to "flabby bass" as ZP puts, and/or Paul Ruby type buzz. ZP says 1000uF is the minimum, 2200uF preferred.geoff 1965 wrote: βWed 02/19/20 2:37 pmJosh & ZP, what's the reason for using a 1000uf on the el84's bias?
Thanks,

Many have found that using a huge cathode cap really improves the tone and response of Cathode-biased amps. The large cap helps stabilize the bias voltage, to prevent the bias swinging too cold on signal peaks.JMPGuitars wrote: βWed 02/19/20 3:48 pm

.22uF would basically give you a treble booster
So who is "JOHN!!!" mentioned in the title of this thread?JMPGuitars wrote: βTue 02/18/20 1:47 pmYou're welcome. My name is Josh, but you weren't that far off.
