18 Watt/ 1974.

Post by divali »

Okay, here's the thing.. I have just completed an 18 watt amp, courtesy of Tubedepot instructions and have now got a new 18 watt 1974 chassis (the one where the tubes hang downwards) which I want to build. What I need to know is:
1) Can I use the same board and layout as the Tubedepot one?
2) What differences are there?
3) Where can I get the layout and BOM for the 1974 amp.
I notice also that the 1974 type doesn't have a tremelo incorporated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Btw I just had the completed 18 watt Tubedepot amp safety tested by a friend and he said that it's all working nicely now and is ready for me to start building a cabinet for it. :D

If it doesn't have a tremolo channel, then it simply isn't a 1974. The 1974 model is just the classic 18W in a 1X12 combo format.

Schematics and layouts for the classic 18W are here - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=24434
