Lite ii cascade gain / vvr
Hello,
I have a functional lite ii i built according to josh's layout. I like the way it is. The clean sound keeps me glued with my guitar. However, i cant dime it to get od out of it. I have a air brake attenuator but its not enough.
So, i am thinking about cascading/ vvr option. My goal is to break up the amp at 3/4 and lower the guitar volume to get a spanky clean sound. Is this doable!
I will be glad to hear from amp experts like you. I know this is the right place to ask.
Thank you.

Re: Lite ii cascade gain / vvr
Please post your voltages before considering any mods. I build that exact version, and I get plenty of gain with it starting around 3.
If you do the cascade mod that can certainly give you more gain, but you should get your voltages right first. When your voltages are happy, if you still want to do the cascade mod, I recommend this version: files/Zaphod_Phils_18W_Cascade_Mod.pdf
Thanks,
Josh

Re: Lite ii cascade gain / vvr
voltages are about 5% off not less but more in most of the cases. i like how clean is right now. amp is producing room full of sound with lots of bass ( i keep my tone control turned to 0, partstrat with JB pickups- volume set to 2.5/3, tone control at 3/4ish...). my venture is now to turn up my guitar volume and get some fluid like gain. to achieve this, I would like to try out a VVR and get OD that way.
Can someone walk me through or at least have an idea going...
as an idea, any one suggest the vox cut control mod to this amp! and how it may affect the tone!
Thanks

I wired a cut control pot and getting amazing tone. It lowered the wattage a little bit and made it darker which i like. Im boosting it with a be OD pedal for OD.
Thanks for your help. Have a wonderful day.
