gain voltage divider

Post by geoff 1965 »

hello guys,
i'm using a variation of this trinity plexi preamp for my 6V6 project and you can see on the layout the 470K voltage divider for the gain pot has the resistors on the board. i'm struggling to remember but has'nt there been problems with them placed here and would they be best placed on the valve base?

There are probably some issues with that doc, but the 470K's placement doesn't look like an issue. Ideally, the 470K that goes to ground should be connected to the preamp ground buss. If you place it at the socket, then you have to run a long ground lead.
