2-channel with mixing resistors and channel mixing pots?

Has anyone built a 2-channel 18 watt with mixing resistors?

Is there any merit in adding channel mixing pots before each mixing resistor?

Thinking that if you max out the volume of the channel you're using and minimising the volume of the other then interaction between channels would be limited?
