Eliminating Tremolo Thumping in Marshall 18 Clone

Post by edwardsjethro »

I have this Marshall 18 clone and it has a "tremolo thumping" issue. Once you hit "4" on the speed and intensity it starts to become audible. Increasing the speed increases the thump, just like trem ticking in a Fender. The trem ckt in this amp is identical to the Marshall 18 ckt. Any simple solution to eliminating this noise?

I had to re-run my plate wires under the turret board, against the chassis, away from gird wires. I knew better than this but didn't do it after converting my TMB to original tremolo. May not be your issue but something to try.
