I've never heard of a plug falling out of a jack but being accidentally pulled out is in the realm of possiblilty. FWIW I saw a couple amps in the 60's that had a light metal strap across the back of the plug with holes on either end aligned with holes in the chassis and screws held the strap and the plug in place. Even back then it struck me as overkill but what the hey?! No amount of vibration or clumsy roadies would accidentally unplug the speaker.

In all my years of playing I have never heard of a vertical speaker jack plug falling out. But I have heard of them corroded and stuck in place.

Yeah, a standard phono plug isn't going to fall out. It'll be fine. :D
