Time to inlay and finish up this beast. :)

Post by joekelly9692 »

Took my newly built lite 2b to the rehearsal studio last night fellas. And what a blast it was.... I could not ask for any more in an amp... I play in a led zep cover band and with my fuzz and wah it was pure magic...

When all the bands came out as we were going in... the amp stopped them all in there tracks... I felt like a proud daddy lol...

Now it's time to inlay with mother of pearl and abalone ... I really feel I've made something unique here and feel good about the countless hours I've spent and yet to spend on it. Joe

You've certainly done some mighty fine work, I can't wait to see the finished product.

If you know a pro photographer, you should definitely have them take photos when you're done. You've got a work of art in progress there.

There are some great (really old) videos about soldering technique on youtube. They're worth a watch. They show standards for different types of soldering techniques for different situations. Start with this series: https://youtu.be/vIT4ra6Mo0s - the first video might be boring or not, but the 2nd video I think is where they start the specific soldering stuff.

Thanks,
Josh

Hahaha, yeah. Those videos have the combination of great technique, and hilarious 70s cheese.

Supposedly they 3D printed the red things where I got them from. I'm still not buying a 3D printer yet. ;)
