Question about Mullard el84's

I came accross this auction for Some off brand labeled mullard EL84's

He states that the staining inside the glass is normal. Is this true?

I have 4 Mullard labeled 84's with this staining. I got them with a Harmon Kardon Stereo tube amp I bought off of ebay 2 years ago. I saw the staining and just assumed they were finished. I never tried them though...I should probably do that huh?

Anyway...Anyone know anything about this?

I have 10 or 12 Mullards that are used and most of them are "stained" opposite the holes in the plates. They must stain with age. I wouldn't worry about it as long as they work ok. I would test them first though.
