The Davy Brothers?

Post by ColinM »

Guys
I wonder if any of you can help me. My son recently brought home a very gnarly cassette tape of a song which he claims is by someone called 'The Davy (Davie??) Brothers'. The chorus of the song has lyrics which run:

"Where's the Devil when you need him, I'm ready to sell my soul"

The band has obviously spent far too much of their spare time indoors listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn albums when they could have been outside playing football or meeting girls - a bit like my son, really :x
Seriously, it's a groovy wee track juxtaposing Texas blues/funk with a Faustian message of which Mr Johnson himself might have approved :yell:
My son and I would both love to hear more from this fine combo, whoever they might be.

I have searched the farthest horizons of the Global Superhighway hatecomputer , but to date have returned no information on band or song.
Can anyone help?

Regards, Colin
