So what should I build with this chassis?

I'd like an 18watt with an EF-86 preamp. Any help would be appreciated.
Those are 5 octal sockets and very nice ones. Going to be tight but looks like alot of fun.
Thanks in advance.

How about a "Beast" with an EF86 preamp??? It is a very small chassis.... what about a power stage on that chassis. An Octal quad! Swap one socket for a rectifier socket.... then find another chassis for the preamp... not quite sure if that chassis looks big enough to mount a transformer on to suit 4 KT66's, but can't hurt to try.

Definately could not handle 4 KT-66 with a PT and a OT. PLUS IT IS ALUMINUM, GO FIGURE FOR IT'S AGE.
i'M THINKIN A COUPLE OF 6v6'S WITH A RECTIFIER, A 12ax7AND A ef-86.
\i HAVE ALOT OF "STUFF" (damn typewriter or me). 8O 8O  . That I can do things with. Dimensions are 8.75" x 3.75". We're talking tiny here 8O . That's what's so fun. How much can be fit into ths without breaking the bank

Maybe a little SE amp then. But really, getting all that on there, AND using those tube sockets will be nigh on impossible. I believe that Mark Huss built a Beast on a chassis a little bigger than that, 12" x 4" rings bells. Maybe a Noval PP power stage could be fit on there with a simple pre amp (because the trannies could be quite small), but then you've got those big Octal socket holes....

Wow, I'm hooked! Thanks so much. I still think somehow I can put a "lite" in there. (Where are you Doc Phil) and really want to try. But if I can't that link is totally awesome. :D :D
I can tap out the sockets and use the chassis for well whatever, but doesn't hurt to try. And an SE isn't a bad thing. I mean hey I got this for $5.00. What more can you ask for. :D
Don't know what a beast is but I have SE transformers and PP transformers. Well, a little of everything. Some great OT's that are dying to be used again, You get my drift.
I'd just like to see exactly what I could, very nicely, jam  into this. I even have an old SS crate cab, that fits this chassis perfectly with an 8" Jenson MOD I have laying around. :D
The more idea's, the more fun. I have other chassis' around, so your link is great, again.
Thanks,
Jac
