You're probably thinking of the Rocket. That was Ken's vision of the perfect the AC30. The Express and Liverpool are very similar until the power stage, which is EL34 for the Express and EL84 for the Liverpool.

Having said all that, I've attached a page from an old Trainwreck brochure and it's interesting to see that Ken calls it the 'Liverpool' Rocket, just to add some confusion!

The Rocket is closer to an AC30, yet changed quite a bit. However, Ken tailored each amp and there is no standard that all amps were built to AFAIK.

The preamp is still quite different than an AC30.

What is the PT voltage for a TW Liverpool? 260-0-260; 290-0-290...

260 - 0 - 260 is what was used. However I believe that Ken used the same transformers as was in the Express and they had dual secondaries, 300 - 260 - 0 - 260 - 300.

Those clips are are from my clone of the first Liverpool ever made named Ginger. It's not a real Liverpool but should be as close as you can get without being Ken. Plexi recoreded the clips. Here is a couple of pics of the amp

It's been a while since I've seen you hang around here.

It surprises me that this kit deal hasn't taken off with all the hoopla around TrainWrecks these days.

Well, my issue is that I just built a 36W TMB EF86 and I'm trying to figure out why I'd need a Liverpool NOW. If you'd set up the group buy 2 months ago I'd have been onboard for sure.

Aww come on now! You can never have TOO many amps!!! And the price on this baby is right for a killer amp and head cab.

I check in often but rarly post anymore. I'd rather spend my time at the bench instead of the keyboard. Hard to believe that my Liverpool is a year old. As far as the kit taking off, you can listen to clips all day but until you have picked up a guitar and played a good TW (real or clone) you really don't know what you're missing. Nick makes a great kit for a unbelievable rock bottom price. There are a couple of Liverpools on ebay right now for $35,000 each. Nic's sound very close to the real thing and less than most 18watters sell for. Best of luck on your group buy.

Hey Dana,

Yeah, I wish I had my bench back. It's covered in crap as we're in the midst of a complete home remodel. Starting to get some space again, so I am back at it when I have time.

Anyhow, if you've anymore killer clips, I'd love for you to share them. The ones of Richie are superb!!
