Tubes & Capacitors

Hi, I'm brand new to this and I've been stricken by the bug. I'm right now in the process ordering new tubes for my 90' Fender "The Twin" Reverb. I also want to change out some capacitors. I'm just having a little problem... I'm trying to decide which parts are the most important to change with relation to the tone of the amp. I really like the sound of my amp, I just want to smooth out the Highs on it because they are a bit sharp and piercing. I'm just looking to make it a little more touch sensitive and a more rounded with some squash in relation to my playing. Any help would be appreciated as I'm very new to this and I'm only in my first semester of electronics class.

I sure hate to say this, but your question doesn't seem to have any relation to a Marshall 18W type amp, which is what this BBS is devoted to. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to cut n' paste your question onto our sister site PPwatt.com, where people will be able to advise you. You may actually have to do more mods than just changing some tubes and caps to get the tone and feel you want.
