Thanks, it's cute huh?radstringz wrote:Nice tight little package. What are the chassis dimensions?
jr
The chassis is 14"x6"x2.5" Original Brown Note dimensions since 1923, um I mean 2003.
This chassis actually fits in an even smaller head cab, but this is being paired up with a 2x12 cab so a little bigger box looks better.
This is the best sounding Lite36 yet, it has quite a few small tweaks.

Off th etop of my head...Amped wrote:Nice!
btw What is the dimmensions of the HEAD CAB you used for that 36w lite? I know chassis dimensions just wondering on the head cab dimensions.
Also, what is the dimensions of the front faceplate cutout? Is that front faceplate the same as the 18watt lite faceplate?
thanks
The cab dimensions are approx. 19" x 6.5"x7"
If you need exact, email me and I'll me measure.
Faceplate cutout is 13.5"

Schematically, what exactly does the 18 watt / 36 watt switch do? I know what it does in a sentance, changes to only using half the tubes (I'm assuming), but I'd like to see what it does exactly.
Thanks...it's pretty loud and stays pretty clean in the 36W mode.
The 18W switch lifts the ground connection to a pair of the el84's.

Yes, good point.zaphod_phil wrote:Don't you change the speaker tapping on the OT as well, to up the load impedance to 8k?
I'm still trying to get used to the sight of an amp with twice as many tubes in the power amp as in the preamp.
I know what you mean.

Sweeeeeet....
Ah, man, that is sooo sweet.
I've been wondering if I could build a 4 x el84 amp into my blank 5E3 size chassis, and this looks like a definite yep.
Peace,
Rico

Not that I recommend it...
Gee, if you ran all the el84's parallel SE class A, you could have 4 x as many finals as preamp tubes, heh.zaphod_phil wrote:....
