Is this crock of $ht worthy of the lofty heights that 18watt aspires to - NO!
Attention should have been drawn to this item on Wattkins.com.
I am certain that no-one on 18 watt would fit a misprinted valve with a cracked base into one of their pristine creations.
On the other hand, if anyone wants a pair of Mullard GZ34s in good order, but with the locator pegs broken off, $25k to a good home ...

It is interesting how the seller contradicts himself (or herself). The start price is 5 grand and the shipping will be via USPS for $6.99??? Last time I checked UPS charges a bunch for insuring packages.
My bet is that tomorrow he will be on his bank...
To put the tube back in the safety deposit box...

Hmmm, I think you're probably right about that. However, at a stretch I suppose you could say it's still related to 18W, since 6V6s have become quite popular to use in an 18W amps...dotfret wrote:Attention should have been drawn to this item on Wattkins.com...

Another case of an idiot thinking he can call something a bit odd,.
'VERY RARE', and find a fool to buy it.
P.T. Barnum would smile,
but that's Ebay for you
OMG it's DOUBLE struck!!!!!
So the worker bee who was printing it missed the 1st time
and did it again.
it MUST be worth 1,000 times all the toehrs in the line.
Crap pure and simple.
Now if MARCONI personally talked with Tesla
via this EXACT tube, that might be worth $5k..
But not to me.
