Half Power, should I?
Going from 30 to 15 watts aint gonna change much "real" volume when playing cranked, but I think I'm going to do it anyway.
I'd like to hear from the folks that actually like using a half power switch. I know it's a slight change in sound (if any) and a small/tiny drop in volume, but are there any folks who like using it regardless? Why? How noticeable is it?
I'm mainly concerned about not blowing a 30 watt, 2x12" Celestion Blue cab with my head build when cranked. Otherwise, I'm plenty fine with Master Volume controls

I put a "triode switch" in my Laney VC30.
It was more usable at home, the drop in volume was really noticable .
And i used it also cause the sound itself was different, more "Vintage" jazzy and creamy.
You can think at this mod as another extra channel for your amp.
But i don't know if you are thinking at this kind of half power switch.
