Help with new 36watt
So I'm messing around with the front end of a new 36watt lite I'm building.
What I got so far is EF86 V1 (channel1) into a standard 18watt Volume/tone stack , 12AX7 2nd channel with just a volume and 3 pos bright switch. Both channels into 220k mixing resistors into a standard 36watt PI/Poweramp. 470k/820/56k. 2 wires from the input jack, one ito each grid (ef86/12ax7). Is there a better way to do this, my aim is to be able to mix both channels since they are jumpered from the input jack. Mixing resistors, would you suggest another value? The amp sounds good, loud and strong, could use more gain/saturation/sustain when cranked. Seems my 18watts have alot more drive. any suggestions?
