I'll be there with a booth for GDS Amps and Guytron. I would love to have all of you come visit. Please say hello if you do show up.
This was a great show last year.

Guys,
If any of you can make it, this is going to be a great event. I am putting on a 25 minute showcase during the afternoon at 2:00 where I'll be demonstrating the Guytron amps, and then I'll have a band to show off what these amps can do in a full band situation. I expect to have four guitar players on stage, including Guy Hedrick (the orig Guytron designer), Jack DiFranco (local hot guitarist - like Robben Ford), Dan Medawar (my assistant here in the shop) and myself.
I'll have a big rack rig setup with one of the GT100s on stage to demonstrate a modern pro touring wet-dry-wet rack rig. We'll have a GT20 rig, a GT40 rig and possibly an early GT100 as well as the modern GT100 F/V.
Oh yeah, I'll have donuts in the morning for those that arrive early.

With the demise of the Motor City Guitar Show, it is a welcomed improvement I experienced at the Amp Show. What an absolute ball I had! I saw people I'd never meet, heard amps I'd never seen and was touched by sights and sounds you don't get in any music store
The venue was perfect! Open without anybody's playing being stepped on.
Next year I'll certainly be there with bells on; I'm bringing friends, Lots of 'em
My sincere thanks to all that put on the show!

Some pictures from the Resonant room at the Motor City Amp Show!
All the amps that would fit in my '03 Kia Rio...
The Cougar Prototype...still working out some kinks. Borrowed Port City cab from our dealer, American Guitar and Band.
Cocoa Barely Legal 18 Head and 1x12 WGS Alnico cabinet.
Garnet Red BL18 1x12 Combo...speaker is a WGS Reaper 55Hz.
We had lots of fun at the show, met tons of great people, and just generally enjoyed a weekend geeking out on amp stuff. Overall a great first show!
