hammond and heyboer

Hi All,

I'm new here and in the process of assembling an 18 watt. I was wondering about the hammond 125E vs. the heyboer for the output tranny. Has anyone done a back to back comparison of the two? I know most have said the heyboer is the way to go. I'm not sure how to order it, however. That's why I was asking about the hammond. I tried emailing Graydon but got no response. I emailed heyboer and they sent me Graydon's web page and said that small orders went through him. The web page:

I'd like to get this project together and I've never had problems ordering hammond's before.

I have used the heybour and EMC trannies and both sound good to me. I did use a 125E on a 5E3 build that I did for a friend and that amp was one of the most touch responsive amps I have played. Not being the guru like many on this board, I wonder if it was the fender/6V6 thing with the 125E.
