Tolex job

Hey guys, what is the going rate for a tolex job?

I was at a local ampfest last Sunday and a couple of guys commented on how nice my cabs were done and one of them asked me to redo his Hiwatt head.

I do my own amps but never did someone else’s so I have no idea how much to charge! The guy is supposed to supply his own tolex...

I'm exactly the same and every time I do something for someone else I rip myself off. Think about how much you want then double it, see how that looks.

I love tolexing and can do a great job. I hate stripping and prepping a box that already has tolex on it though!!

If it was stripped of prior tolex I'd charge for the cost of the tolex plus $35. If I had to strip and prep the box...$150.
