New 36watt

Post by malt »

Hi,
Just made my self a 36watt, third amp so far, had some minor problems but after some digging it turned out fine. And this is a very loud amp hehe hope the neighbor aren't to unhappy. Must say a big thank you to the 18watt community for all the grate info ++ to Richie for designing a great amp. I used a trinity chassis GDS trafos the rest of the parts are from allover new and old. Polam el 84 tubes the 12ax7 is v1 philips v2 valvo v3 telefunken + a GE 5v5ga ,the amp is very quiet (hehe when I'm not playing) almost too perfect, the grounding is passed under the board instead of on the pots. Well here is some pix of the amp :

Looks great!! Nice work! 8)

IMO neat and tidy lead dress is more likely to give a quiet amp.

That's a nice looking build. Looks like you're using speakon connectors too!

ahhhh very sweet.. nice and neat, and using ALL the good stuff. The trainwreck liverpool or rocket trannys also work well for a 36 watter, depending on if you want to use a tube recto or SS recto..

Hi, tanks for the kind words :D had to put in some of the good stuff in this amp, the first two builds are gone, the first to my brother and the second to a friend so this one is mine. rjgtr the speaker connectors are neutrik Locking 1/4" phone jack http://no.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Neut ... qRvi0MQ%3d .

Have a GDS pt and trainwreck Liverpool OT for another 36watt maybe whit 6v6 tubes. But first got to finish the 18watt i have standing on my desk got to have the real thing
