6v6s in 36 watt ???

Anyone built one wit 6v6s ? If so maybe point me towards a schematic please . I have enough parts to put one together if I can find a schematic . I've converted an old record player chassis to an 18 watt "absolute minimum" with 6v6s . Just add the 2 extra tubes in parallel , right ?? What about cathode resistor , shared , or do I need one for both pairs . If shared do I cut value in half ?

Just follow the power stage from the 36W schematics in the Downloads section. As you will see it's basically two 18W power stages in parallel, sharing the same OT, but not much else. To use 6V6s it's just a few resistor value changes. Cathode resistors for each power tube pair are around 270 ohms. Phase invertor (PI) tail resistor is 20k, instead of the usual 47k or 56k. Also a 470 ohm PI cathode resistor instead of the usual 820 ohms. You will have had to use similar resistor values for your previous 6V6 amp build. Pretty trivial changes really.

Here's a schematic of a cathode-biased, quad 6V6 amp that might give you some ideas for the power section of yours. Plate voltage in this amp is around 325 Vdc, reduced from around 410Vdc by the 100-ohm resistor following the STBY switch.
