Tweed bassman with 18watt components
Hey guys..
I thought I’d share this experiment with y’all, since it turned out really well. I have built an amp using a 5F6a preamp, but gave it a sorta 18 watt power amp. In fact, I used 6AQ5/EL90 power tubes and 18 watt type power and output transformers. The NFB is on/off switchable. I also built in a bias vary tremolo that’s wiggled through an IRF840 mosfet. It really sounds fantastic!
