Finished my 18 watt build

Post by Jason Patrick »

Just wanted to post a few shots and sound clips made real quick yesterday of my home built 18 watt clone using SourSound transformers and choke. I wired one of the jacks to parallel the v1 triode and a switch to cut or boost lows for using say a tele over a les Paul by adding in parallel a 50uf cap to a 1uf on the normal channel. Lemme know what ya think. Using RCA glass in the power amp and og mullard and telefunken in the pre. There may be a bugle boy in there too. Last video is through a Weber 12a125 which I like but it’s going through a Weber 50w blue dog now which is better. I haven’t made a vid of that yet.

Nice!
I think that your amp could benefit from the Paul Ruby mod though… it’s pretty fizzy on the top end
