18-watt TMB from Mojotone
Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I found it trying to get some answers about my 18-tmb build. Unfortunately I found this forum after I had purchased the Mojotone version of this amp and was hours away from completion. I have built 3-Mojotone amps prior and had a very good experience with them. So I didn't hesitate when I decided to go forward with the 18-tmb. Anyway, I've completed the wiring and I'm at the stage to power it up, but I thought I'd check in with you guys and see if I should make some modifications before going further. One of which would be to move the grounding bus off the back of the pots. I can move it off the pots without too much effort, but I'm unsure as to where I should attach it too the chassis. Also, I want to know if there are any other changes I should make at this time. I've included pics of the build, plus the schematic and the layout that I used (recently updated by Mojotone). Thanks for any help you can provide.

Welcome to the Forum.
At the bottom of any post from Josh as JMPguitars you will find a link to his treatise called Modern Grounding Schemes (or close to that title). That will provide an excellent insight to help you decide on what mods you wish to make to the grounding.

Thank you for that. I've already looked that over, but it's a little too technical for me. I'm basically a guy that likes to assemble these things, but don't really have a very good understanding of circuits and so forth. I've tried to search for the posts about Mojotone builds, but haven't really found what's supposed to be so bad about the Mojotone builds.
I'm really looking for some direction on what I should change with the Mojotone design to bring it up to snuff. Would it be possible for someone to point out what I should change beside the ground bus on the back of the pots?

Give it a try and try to apply the things you think are right and post the document. We’ll guide you to the right way of doing this.

Ok, this is probably going to take me a while, but hopefully I'll make some progress on the grounding document. Thanks!
