Tremolo ticking, or should I sat thumping

I have this Marshall 18 clone and it has a "tremolo thumping" (similar to Fender trem ticking) issue. Once you hit "4" on the speed and intensity it starts to become audible. Increasing the speed increases the thump, just like trem ticking in a Fender. The trem ckt in this amp is identical to the Marshall 18 ckt. Any simple solution to eliminating this noise? Pete

The easiest way is to test with different tubes. The thump is tube and circuit sensitive. You can also compare your tremolo circuit to the Tremolo TMB preamp and see if you spot anything different.

Apologies for the late reply. My 2008 had the same ticking. It stopped when I connected my trem footswitch. Now I have a 1/4” shorted plug in the trem jack. Nice and quiet.
