Wire from Apex Jr.

I just got some 22 ga. teflon-coated stranded wire from Apex Jr, in a rainbow of pretty colors. I'm used to using 20 gauge PVC coated solid-core stuff, but I'm so clumsy with a soldering iron I thought it would be good to have some wire that can take the heat. Just to try it out I used a few pieces for some mods to an amp a few days ago, and I have some questions about stripping the stuff.

My question is, how do I strip the stuff? It's so much thinner than the PVC coated wire, and the teflon coating seems about as tough as the wire itself. I have some strippers that go to 22 gauge, but this wire just pulls though barely touching the edges. Anyone using this wire have a magic tool they can recommend?

I´m using a wire stripper tool. That works really cool, especially for teflon wire.

The tool has two blades that can be adjusted with a thumb screw.
I´m sure you´ll find something like that where you live, too.

it's called cloth-covered wire.

Yeah, I knew somebody would say that. I used to think cloth-covered wire was a luxury I couldn't afford, now I'm thinking it's exactly the opposite...
