Input Jack Wiring

If your useing the switchcraft type jacks..just look at most of the fender amp layouts. The 36 watter schem is showing the inputs kinda upside down. I'l try to draw something up to show how to wire both
Also look at Mark Huss gallery. it has some construction building pics..and shows how to wire up the marshall jacks. Follow the trem channel wireing for a high and low type input. I've been trying to change the 36 watter drawing..but having a bit of trouble with theprogram i use to draw with.
Not that good at drawing..but there are a few things that need changed to keep people from being confused. Plus since i have built a few of these amps now,i have found a few things i like better..or make the amp more stable,and less prone to have problems for newbies building the amp.

This last 36 watter i built,i used the 68k resistors at the jacks..and can be done the same with the switchcraft. gounded the shield at the jack side.

This works much better than having to use two shielded cables and putting the resistors on the tube pins.. I know most of the time thats where they should be.. but it works fine in thousands of fender amps with the same setup. And you can use one shielded cable..instead of two cables..one for each jack.
You can do this with the marshall jacks too..thats what i used.

ok.. i posted on the -log-in post too..

I only have log-in problems here, all the other amp-guitar sites i go to,i don't have a problem. And now seems i can't upload or attach small jpeg pics to the posts. Maybe it sees how bad my drawings are..and won't post them..

This log-in stuff started after tha hacker came through..i don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. I think other people had problems with the pic after that too,not being able to upload or attach something.

I guess i have stuck too many crappy drawings on here.. The pics are small file sizes.

i stuck the pics in my gallery.. just try to remember the hi input jack will have the 1M resistor on it. If you work on a head..and looking from the inside. the hi jack will be on the bottom..
so when you turn the head right side up,it will be on the top.

Same for the fender mounting..I think i have this pic..just as it would look ..if the head was right side up.. Hopefully this will help you see how to make the connections.. Oh..but you can make the wireing much more neat,than my drawing..
