do you have shields on the tubes that require them. ie: 12ax7`s? is the chassis naked under florecent light source while its making noise?
to me it sounds like an outside source.

Do you have the 100ohm resistors used as the CT for the heaters?

Can you psot a pic of the input wireing,make sure the inputs have a good ground. Sometimes the ground end is ok,but the wiring to the input jack ground can look good but have a cold solder joint,or not making good contact.. Does either channel work?

Richie is absolutely right on the 100 ohms off the filament runs. Without a CT the amp will buzz.

Sorry, but you're talking to a complete Newbie or dumb a$$ here when it comes to tube amps.

How do I wire this up? Can you send me a pic or schematic or point me to another post that shows this?

If your power transformer does not have a center tap for the 6.3 volt heater run ( mine does not ) you will have to put a 100 ohm resistor from the each wire to chassis ground. This creates a virtual center tap.

Re: Input jacks. Both ways work, but the insulated jack is more mechannically sound since it's ground is secure even if it becomes loose.
