Post by PhloydFreak »

I gotta bad filter cap on a vintage club 30 watt (crate) and it is really hard to find a replacement, much less an upgrade! ... (10,000uf 16 wv 25mmx35mm snap in) any suggestions? I would prefer to up grade the stock one... its a samwha... wha? The top looks like a balloon! Thanks for any input...

Hi PhloydFreak,

Not sure if this is what you're looking for:

Samwha 10,000uf, 16V PCB mounting snap in

H = 30mm, Dia 22 mm, HE series 105 degree C (close enough? Not sure what u mean by top looks like a balloon).

Farnell part # 389-9986

Or, H = 25, Dia = 22, HC series 85 degree C Farnell part# 389-9275

Farnell is Newark. As Dai said, you can look there and see it's the same..

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I moved this topic because it is not 18W related. I'll let it go because as I have said in the past, we don't mind the odd off-topic post even if it is regarding other amps. However, I would encourage PhloydFreak to ask his question on Ampage or the Weber BBS because the guys there are not focused on one amp in particular like we are here.

Thanks,
El Moderato,
